NEVIS RIDGES

The North Face of Ben Nevis is home to the classic ridges, deep gullies and during the winter world-class ice climbing. This huge North Face is split by a series of long and excellent ridges making for some great mountain journeys in the summer. Ledge Route, Castle Ridge, Observatory Ridge, North East Buttress and the famous Tower Ridge all give great mountaineering journeys. A mix of climbing and scrambling in often spectacular situations. All require a roped approach often moving together and stopping to pitch the more technical moves safely.

Ledge route makes for the easiest of the lines and a good introduction to roped scrambling. Tower Ridge is a route for those who have good hill fitness and a steady head for exposure. For those who are looking for unroped ways to the summit of Ben Nevis please have a look at the Mountain Track and CMD arête routes.

We can provide a harness, helmet and belay plate covered within your course cost. We provide all the hardware and ropes required a long with a first aid kit and other mountain safety equipment. We have a full kit list on the site and are happy to help answer any questions you may have.
